Our Fresh Ingredients

Unlike store-bought products which contain processed ingredients and preservatives, all Tempting Tub products are made fresh, from pure ingredients. The advantage is the full, healthy effect of the herbs and essential oils. However, our products have limited shelf life, and should thus be used within 6-8 months of purchase.

Olive Oil Olea europaea
Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer as it draws external moisture from the air and holds it close to the skin. Olive oil is non-comedogenic (non-clogging), and permits the skin to perform its necessary functions.
Palm Oil Elaeis guinnesis
Palm oil is produced from the pulp of the fruit of the oil palm. Palm oil makes a nice, hard bar when used in combination with other oils as coconut and olive. Since it is less soluble in water, its firmness holds up during use.
Coconut Oil Coco nucifera
Coconut oil is obtained from copra, the dried meat of coconut. It’s saturated nature makes a very hard bar of soap, while at the same time produces a quick,fluffy lather.
Cocoa Butter Theobroma Cacao
Cocoa butter is the fat which is obtained by the hdraulic pressing of cocoa beans (a by-product of the chocolate-making process.) Cocoa butter lays down a protective layer that holds moisture to the skin, making it a superior skin-softener and skin-healer.
Shea butter Butyrospermum Parki
Shea butter, also known as African Karité butter, is a refined butter expressed from the pits of the fruit from the African butter tree. Shea butter is extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin. When used is soapmaking, it gives a luxurious feel to the final product.
Almond Oil (sweet) Prunus amygdalus, P. dulcis)
Almond oil, which is native to Mediterranean regions, is obtained from the nut of the tree. This oil is a great nutrient for softening and conditioning the skin, suitable for eczema, itchy, dry and inflamed skin.
Apricot Kernal Oil Armeniaca vulgaris, Prunis armeniaca
Having a high Vitamin A content, Apricot Kernel is a light but rich oil which is especially beneficial for skin that is dry, inflamed or otherwise sensitive.
 
 
 
Avocado Oil Persea american Persea gratissima
This highly therapeutic oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, and vitamins D & E. It nourishes and restores dry, dehydrated and mature skin. Skin problems, especially eczema and psoriasis, respond favorably to its high content of vitamins A and E.
Castor Oil Ricinus communis L
Rich in fatty acids and very moisturizing to the skin, it acts as a humectant, attracting moisture to the skin. In combination with omther vegetable oils, it produces a wonderfully emolient bar of soap.
Emu Oil Dromiceius novaehol-landiae
Imported directly from Australia, this oil contains numerous properties beneficial to the skin: Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin regenerative, moisturizing and non-comedogenic (does not clog pores).
Jojoba Simmondsia chinensis
Extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant, jojoba is very similar in composition to human natural skin oils. It penetrates the skin rapidly to nourish it and also softens, moisturizes and restores elas-ticity to dry, mature skin.
Kukui Nut Oil Aleurites moluccana
Brought to Hawaii by early Polynesian settlers, Kukui nut oil is an excellent skin conditioner for dry, wrinkled skin. It is excellent for soothing chapped skin and may prevent scarring. Psoriasis and eczema sufferers have found it soothing too.
Rosehip Seed Oil Rosa mosqueta, rubignosa, rubirosa, canina
Growing wild in the southern Andes, the amber seeds inside the rosehips contain an oil high in essential fatty acids, GLA, and vitamin C. It has valualbe uses in treating skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis and it also reduces scarring and heals burns. This is a highly effective anti-aging oil.
Rosemary Oil Extract (ROE)
A food grade product made up of oil soluble antioxidant compounds, it prevents rancidity in products in which vegetable or plant oils have been used.
Vitamin E (T-50)
All natural vitamin E, low d-alpha mixed tocopherols are often used to slow the onset of rancidity in fats and oils.
