About Us

Having always enjoyed making and receiving handcrafted gifts during the holidays, it seemed like a fun project to learn the old-world art of cold process soap making. At that time, it was our intention to give these luxurious soaps as a calorie-free indulgence to our friends during the holiday season. Little did we know, as a result of our kitchen chemistry endeavors, enthusiasm for our hand-crafted soaps was spreading. So, in the fall of 1998 The Tempting Tub was born.

All of our soaps are crafted using time-honored, cold-kettle soap making procedures. Soaps are made in small 35 lb. batches, are hand-cut, stamped, and cured for 6 weeks to optimize the soap’s mildness and lathering ability. Our scrubs, lotion bars, salts & effervescents are also made with the same high-quality, food-grade oils and exotic butters. Willing family members and close friends provide the basis for most of our market research.

The inspiration for most of our products is provided by our warm Florida climate. From the abundance of fresh citrus to the heady aroma of fresh cut gardenias, fragrance and natural beauty abounds in the Sunshine State.

As we attempt to capture the resplendence of the Creator’s hand, we hope that our products will provide you with an aromatic oasis from your day’s journey...the daily grind...as you renew your body and mind in a fragrant bath or shower.
